A glorious Journey

I saw a huge crowd of people walking along a rugged path. On either side of the path where high cliffs. They were walking from a vast plain into a narrow canon. The path continued to get narrower until everyone was walking single file. Those walking along the path, were the redeemed of the Lord. On top of the high places, the cliffs, which were amongst the clouds were many who have gone on before were cheering and encouraging the crowds below. Heb 12: 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses (a)

Millions were coming in from behind, and in front, the path grew progressively narrower to single file. At the end of the path, the light shinning so bright, was reflecting the immense glory that came from the throne room of grace, the dwelling place of our heavenly Father.

Those who are walking on the path that continues to narrow, are the redeemed of the Lord, they were constantly adjusting themselves, removing anything and everything that would hinder their progress and entrance. The very things that they have been holding on to or that were holding them back were been removed. Anything that opposed holiness was been thrown aside, this continued along the path until the only thing that remained was the garment of righteousness they were wearing. Heb 12 : 1 Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us (b)

I saw angles in white radiant garments praising God and songs of worship just came out of them. The Lamb of God, Jesus Christ who was seated at the right hand of our Father, standing up welcoming the saints into the eternal presence of God.

Trumpets constantly sounding, thunder and lightening (Rev 4), all bringing glory to the King. Heavenly hosts bowing before the throne, singing holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty. Worthy is He who sits on the throne...

Then I was reminded of the scripture: Colossians 3:1-4 NIV Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [2] Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. [3] For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. [4] When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Church we are encouraged to continue this journey that leads to our eternal rest. Come let us join together as we embrace the truth that is Jesus Christ. For our redeemer lives.
